The Township of Buena Vista has begun its annual Census, as required by New Jersey Statute. 

“IF” you are a dog owner within the municipality and do not already have a current license, you will have seven (7) days from the date of notification in which to obtain a license. 

Out of town licenses will be honored. 

Dog License Fees:   $9.00 neutered or spayed   

$ 12.00 not neutered or spayed

+ $7.00 late fee  

Licenses may be obtained in person or by mail.  Enclose a self-addresses, stamped enveloped; valid rabies certificate; spayed/neutered certificate if applicable and a check or money order made payable to “Buena Vista Township”.  DO NOT SEND ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS WILL RESULT IN A SUMMONS REQUIRING A COURT APPEARANCE AND/OR FINE.

Dog & Cat Licenses

Dog Licenses 

Dog and Cat Licenses will be sold at the FREE Rabies Clinics and at the Township Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. For more information please call: 856-697-2100 or 609-561-5650 extension 1.
There will be a late fee of $7.00 charged for Licenses obtained after March 31st. Dog and Cat owners found without Licenses after March 31st will be subject to a fine according to our local ordinance.

Cost (with state fees) Spayed/Neutered $9.00

Not Spayed/Neutered $12.00

Late Fee (after April 1) $7.00

Rabies and Licensing Clinics

Rabies and licensing clinics for dogs and cats are held in March of each year at various locations. Call the Clerk's Office for more details.

Cat Registration

Township law requires cats to be registered with the Clerk's Office. The fee is $3.00 per cat if it is spayed or neutered, $5.00 if cat is not spayed or neutered and a $7.00 late fee -- and a Rabies Certificate is required.
