Buena Vista Township Dog Census

 The Township of Buena Vista has begun its annual Census, as required by New Jersey Statute. 

“IF” you are a dog owner within the municipality and do not already have a current license, you will have seven (7) days from the date of notification in which to obtain a license. 

Out of town licenses will be honored. 

Dog License Fees:   $9.00 neutered or spayed   

$ 12.00 not neutered or spayed

+ $7.00 late fee  

Licenses may be obtained in person or by mail.  Enclose a self-addresses, stamped enveloped; valid rabies certificate; spayed/neutered certificate if applicable and a check or money order made payable to “Buena Vista Township”.  DO NOT SEND ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE ABOVE REQUIREMENTS WILL RESULT IN A SUMMONS REQUIRING A COURT APPEARANCE AND/OR FINE.

Dog & Cat Licenses

Dog Licenses 

Dog licenses are required each year and can be purchased at the Clerk's Office. When purchasing a dog license a valid rabies certificate is required. If your dog is spayed or neutered proof must be provided. After April 1st of each year an additional $7.00 late fee will be charged.

Cost (with state fees) Spayed/Neutered $9.00

Not Spayed/Neutered $12.00

Late Fee (after April 1) $7.00

Rabies and Licensing Clinics

Rabies and licensing clinics for dogs and cats are held in March of each year at various locations. Call the Clerk's Office for more details.

Cat Registration

Township law requires cats to be registered with the Clerk's Office. The fee is $3.00 per cat if it is spayed or neutered, $5.00 if cat is not spayed or neutered and a $7.00 late fee -- and a Rabies Certificate is required.

East Vineland Fire Hall                    10:00 am – 12:00 noon

Collings Lakes Fire Hall                   1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

If your dog or cat is spayed or neutered proof must be provided.

Please bring previous proof of rabies vaccination so that we can vaccinate your pet accordingly.

If your dog or cat is not currently protected against rabies, please take advantage of this opportunity.  Vicious dogs must be muzzled and an adult must accompany the dog. 

Cat Registrations of $3.00 per cat spayed and neutered or $5.00 is not.  A rabies certificate is required. 

Dog Licenses $9.00 per dog spayed and neutered or $12.00 if not, will be sold at the Rabies Clinics and at the Township Clerk’s Office, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. (Tuesday, evening until 7:30 pm). When purchasing a dog license a valid rabies certificate is required. 

There will be a late fee of $7.00 charged after March 31^st.  Dog and cat owners found without dog licenses after March 31^st will be subject to fine according to our local ordinance.
