ATTENTION: Buena Vista Township Residents

Effective May 1, 2011 Buena Vista 9-1-1 Emergency Dispatch Services will no longer be handled by the MidAtlantic Dispatch Center in Egg Harbor. All calls will now be handled by the Gloucester County Dispatch Center located in Clayton, New Jersey. Residents will see no change in their emergency dialing procedures. The change will take place electronically. If you have any questions regarding dispatching to your property or special concerns you may call 856-589-0911.

Emergency Alert System Test

There will be a special test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) on a nationwide basis at 2 pm on Wednesday, November 9, 2011. The purpose of the test is to assess the reliability and effectiveness of alerting the public in “actual emergencies”.
THIS WILL ONLY BE A TEST --and similar to the emergency testing that you already see on TV periodically.
