The feed mill dates back to the 1950's and used to store grain for the farming community.

This 1920's guest house located three blocks from the tracks was renovated to replace the train station that was torn down years ago.

Construction work for the sidewalks is seen near the train station.

Sidewalks were installed along US Route 40 with grants from the NJ Department of Transportation.

Carlo's Esso Gas Station once served travelors along busy US Route 40.

The Monestary at the St. Augustine's Prep School was originally called "Red Oaks" and was owned by the Wood Family who developed the railroads.

The Post Office at the corner of Route 40 and Main Avenue was also a grocery store and a gathering place. Today it is a home.

The Richland Hotel is now closed and is waiting to be restored.

Saw Mill Park is next to the Patcong Valley Model Railroad Building.

A childrens play train is located at Saw Mill Park.

A Conrail caboose orginally from the Pennsylvania Railroad is located in Saw Mill Park.

The Annual Holiday Tree Lighting has become a regular Saw Mill Park event.

Saw Mill Park was the site of an actual saw mill. A picture received from the Smith Family of the saw mill hangs in the Patcong Building.

The play train is a childrens favorite.

In any season the giant oak in Saw Mill Park is beautiful. The tree is lit at night.

There is something for everyone in Richland Village.

The Patcong Valley Model Railroad is located at the corner of US Route 40 and Fir Avenue.

The Buena Vista Township Visitors Center located in the lobby of the Patcong Valley Model Railroad Building.

A restored Jersey Central wooden caboose from the 1930's is next to the Patcong Building.

3,000 square feet of HO trains are on display at the Patcong Building.

The Patcong Building was once a feed store and was completely renovated as a Visitors Center and Model Railroad.

Volunteer greeter Mary Motter welcomes you at the Visitors Center.

Children get to view a "hands on" display of the model railroad.

The Patcong Model Railroad offers "free admission" but donations are accepted.

The work detail is fantastic.

A touch of the past is seen here in the lobby of the Patcong Building.

Members of the Patcong Valley Model Railroad oversee a display of about 3,000 sq. ft. of HO trains.

The 1906 WI Switch Tower was donated to the Township and moved to our Public Works facility for renovation.

Section by section the switch tower was renovated by our Public Works employees.

The tower was originally located in Newfield, which was a stop on the other train line that crossed through Richland. That line is no longer here.

As the sections were completed they were moved to Richland Village.

The sections were lifted in place with the cooperation of Battelini Transportation.

Finally the roof was transported to be placed on top of the switch tower.

The roof is lowered into place to finish the job.

The 1906 WI Switch Tower from Newfield now stands proudly restored in Richland Village.

The Richland House Restrurant on Route 40 was also known as Tank's Bar and Brassies Place.

The guys get together for a cup of coffee at King's Richland Deli.

The Cowboy Cupboard is one of the businesses in Richland Village.

The Rail Tavern opened in Richland Village in 2008.

New Jersey Transit's #553 bus travels through Richland Village every half hour between Atlantic City and Bridgeton.

FAC Collectibles on Route 40 features baseball cards and other collectibles. It is also an e-bay store.
