Tainted water at school: District officials: Student health is affected 11/17/06

The school district in Buena Vista Township has prohibited the use of water at the Milanesi Elementary School after an investigation found levels of trichloroethylene that exceeded the state limit.  They are providing the students with bottled water until a filtration system can be installed.

Citizens to get $445,000 from Buena schools 11/16/06

Residents from Buena Vista and Buena will be credited $445,245 on next year's school tax bills.  Due to state law a school district can only keep 2 percent of its budget for reserve.
