Buena National Honor Society inducts new members

BUENA -- Buena Regional High School held its National Honor Society induction ceremony Wednesday.

Qualifying students must be eligible in the areas of scholarship, character, leadership and service.

Members include:

·  Class of 2003 -- Brittany Barry, Lauren Bertanozzi, Emily Bisulca, Jennifer Caverow, Amanda Craig, Alicia Cocca, Kate DiDonato, Thea Dryer, Nikki Giraffo, Chris Grusemeyer, Krystle Hinds, Andrea Jaworski, Nissa Lee, Meghan Moratelli, Tara Moratelli, Heather Nelson, Greg Perkins, Alisa Petitt, John Pino, Kristina Reed and Amanda Tromello.

·  Class of 2004 -- Tara Cullen, Steven Decker, Meghan Eidam, Paul Faith, Brent Grunow, Krystle Jackson, Brian Krementz, Tara Larson, Michael Newgas, Christina Peters, William Pino, Christopher Ricci, Christine Schairer, Steven Seelman, Sherri Simione, Joshua Sexton, Erin Taylor and Melissa Webster.

·  Class of 2005 -- Salvatore Acilio, Ashle Bernard, Britne Bernard, Jeannine Cheli, Samantha Horner and Kate Luciano.

·  Honorary faculty and staff -- Alfred Coane (deceased), Patrick DiDomenico, Lelia Filippi and Elizabeth C. Pepe.

Crowd pleasers:  Mr. Buena contestants strut their stuff on stage

Contestants of the Mr. Buena Pageant, held Thursday at Buena Regional High School, began the evening with a performance of "Celebration" in their pajamas.

BUENA -- Twelve Buena Regional High School seniors strutted their stuff Thursday evening for the annual Mr. Buena pageant.

They were judged in four categories: talent, formal wear, casual wear and stage presence.

The winner, who had not been crowned by press time, will receive a complimentary tuxedo rental, two free prom tickets and flowers to present to his lucky date.

·  Mr. April -- Frank Mowatt

·  Mr. May -- Otilio Moreno

·  Mr. June -- Nick Barbagli

·  Mr. August -- Brad Wescott

·  Mr. September -- Lew Improta

·  Mr. October -- John Pino

·  Mr. November -- Andrew Mack

·  Mr. December -- Ken Drake
