COUNTY AGREES TO FLASHING LIGHT AT TUCKAHOE AND OAK ROADS
In an effort to improve the hazardous intersection of Tuckahoe and Oak Roads,
a plan will be implemented to install a new “flashing light” signal and new “Stop Ahead” signs. In addition, “Stop bars” will also be repainted.
Due in part to a recent fatal accident, as well as many other accidents in past years, the decision was made by Atlantic County Government to move forward on the improvements. A number of letters from the Township Committee and a petition that was put together by area resident, Gloria Santiago, also focused on the issue with Atlantic County. County Executive Dennis Levinson immediately set forth to improve and enhance the safety at this intersection for the motoring public.
