GOVERNOR’S COUNCIL GETS TASTE OF BUENA VISTA

On May 15, 2001, Buena Vista Township Mayor Chuck Chiarello spoke in front of the monthly meeting of Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse during their visit to Atlantic County.  The meeting was held at Atlantic Cape Community College in Mays Landing.  Two groups from local Municipal Alliances made short presentations to the Council on alliance-funded programs.  The Atlantic City Alliance presented, “Rites of Passage Program”, and the Buena/Buena Vista Township/Weymouth Township Alliance made a presentation on the  “Natural Helpers Program”.

The Council travels to various counties to monitor and justify funding for the various Municipal Drug and Alcohol Alliances in the State.  We believe that our local presentation was well received.
