BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP REMEMBERS ANTHONY SCARPINE
Anthony “Scotty” Scarpine, 64, of Richland passed away August 4th.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he
lived in East Vineland most of his life. He was a self-made businessman and
owned and operated Anthony’s Appliance Store, Buena Vista Wood Stove and
Scarpine’s Deli, all in Richland.
Anthony was a member of the Newtonville and the Richland volunteer fire departments for over 13 years. He was an active member of the Buena Vista Township Republican Party. He served on the Buena Regional Board of Education for eight years and was a member of the board when they built Buena Regional High School in 1973. In addition, he also served on the Buena Vista Township Economic Development Committee from 1989 through 1990. He will be sadly missed.
