BVT RESIDENTS
TO R.E.A.P PROPERTY TAX SAVINGS
Buena Vista Township has been awarded $102,130 to be divided amongst homes that qualify from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs’ “Regional Efficiency Aid Program or REAP”. REAP provides property tax relief based on shared and regional service efforts between counties, municipalities, school districts, and fire districts.
It is estimated that the average household in our community will see a reduction of at least $45.65 in local property taxes due to REAP. The REAP Tax Credit will appear on your new tax bill expected shortly. The aid means about a 7-cent local (municipal tax) reduction.
This is the second year that Buena Vista Township has received REAP aid. We continue to look for ways to provide property tax relief to our residents through shared services
