State Police Crack Down on All-Terrain Vehicles in BVT

Buena Vista Township – State Police are cracking down on all-terrain vehicles and dirt bikes operating illegally on area roadways, posted private properties and state forests, officials announced May 22.   Lt. Richard Schmidt, the station commander at Buena Vista Barracks, requested the crackdown in response to a recent ATV accident that killed a teenager and seriously injured another, police said.  Citizens have reported numerous complaints of noise and hazardous situations, and as a result, weekend patrols will continue.
