Change is sometimes good! After 10 years of presenting news to our residents through another local newspaper the Buena Vista Township Committee has decided to make a major change.

In a cooperative effort with the Cumberland News, Buena Vista Township Committee will be putting forth a monthly news effort in conjunction with the long established Cumberland News. On the 3^rd week of each month, a special edition of the Cumberland News will be printed consisting of 4 pages of information bringing you up-to-date on our local Buena Vista news and photographs.

If the effort is successful, it may be expanded in the future. For now, it’s a new start to better communicating with our residents. We would like to greatly thank Paul Doe and the staff of the Cumberland News for giving us the chance to better promote our community. We are a rural community with many zip codes that make up our township. Having a monthly source to get local information, news and issues out to our residents will be a long term benefit to everyone. We hope you enjoy the features of this special section, and as always we invite our local organizations, fire companies, schools, and community groups to send information about their events that are happening to the attention of Michelle Edwards in my office at Buena Vista Township.

Another advantage of working with the Cumberland News is that even though the Buena Vista Special Edition may only come out once a month, you can still get your announcements in the Cumberland News since it is published on a weekly basis. Many thanks for the support of the Cumberland News.
