| Progress is being made with the new addition at the Milanesi Elementary School (on Route 40 in Buena). It appears that most of the work is now completed. We are sure that this will be a fine addition to Our Community. |

| On Wednesday, August 1st, the fabulous Singing Ambassadors brought a little broadway to Buena Vista Township. As part of the Summer Concert Series, the Singing Ambassadors delighted the crowd with well-known show tunes from the Phantom of the Opera and My Fair Lady. Many of the Ambassadors are Our Own Local Buena Vista Township residents. |
| In record time Phase I of the Tuckahoe Road Project (AC Rt. 557) was completed by Atlantic County. As this newspaper was going to print, the lines and finishing touches were being done for this project. The County has also approved a new flasher light at Tuckahoe and Oak Roads, which will be installed immediately. (See separate article elsewhere in this issue). |

The message board operates 24 hours a day when Township meetings are not being shown. As a reminder, you can watch Township Meetings and Events every Tuesday night on Channel 37 between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. |
| Leaves and branches will be picked up by the Buena Vista Township Public Works Department if you call (856) 692 – 4121 and let us know your address and what you have out for us to pick up. Leaves must be bagged; branches must be cut in three foot links and bundled so that our employees would be able to lift these items into our Township vehicles. |
| Special thanks to Township Administrator Ron Trebing… For the second year in a row, Ron has successfully brought in REAP Tax Credits for our homeowners. While we received a little less money this year, we were still ranked the 14th largest amount of REAP dollars given to any community in the state two years in a row. |
| Township Committee Members Peter Bylone and Mike Rivera were recently appointed to represent Buena Vista on a new “Shared Services Committee” that is being started up with the Buena Regional School District and Buena Borough. |
| Deputy Mayor, Teresa Kelly, recently called to the attention of Atlantic County Officials problems with the Cains Mill Road Bridge near the firehouse in Collings Lakes where a depression in the road surface was making for a possible hazardous situation. |
| Committeewoman Sue Barber and Mayor Chuck Chiarello will be meeting with Andrea Inverso of the Statewide Kindness Campaign at a meeting in Buena Vista on Monday, August 20th, 2001. This meeting is a follow up to Buena Vista Township being named the kindest town in New Jersey and future plans for this program. |
