Oklahoma was OK!
Hats off to the Buena Regional High School Drama Club for
three days of a fine performance of Rogers and Hammerstein’s great musical
Oklahoma. This was the first
musical in fifteen years at the High School and the senior Drama Club members
were honored by the Township Committee, and they even sang on live TV.
The play in its entirety is being shown in April and May on Channel 37
every Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.
Township Committee salutes Buena Regional
Wrestling and Basketball teams.
At the March Township Committee meeting, Committeeman Peter
Bylone made presentations on behalf of the Township Committee to this year’s
Buena Regional High School Basketball Team and their coaches.
The team made it to the playoffs and has tremendous promise for a great
season next year!
Committeeman Mike Rivera who once wrestled himself , in
High School that is, had the honor of presenting awards to the High School
Wrestling team and coaches. The
team performed exceptionally well this year!
FOSTER PARENTS SALUTE TOWNSHIP COMMITTEE
The foster parent association of Atlantic County which his
based in Buena Vista Township recently presented certificates of appreciation to
the Buena Vista Township Committee at its March TV meeting.
Foster parents Kim Donnelly and Sue Carter presented certificates to
Township Clerk LaVerne Gunter, Committeewoman Sue Barber, Deputy Mayor Teresa
Kelly and Mayor Chuck Chiarello for their help with the holiday party for the
association.

Here’s a toast to Sue Barber who took on Mayor
Chiarello’s challenge to make
Buena Vista “The Kindest Town In New Jersey”.
Sue not only took on the unusual project but was able to get the full
support of Township Clerk, LaVerne Gunter, her staff and most of the Township
Building employees and some help from Public Works!
