Second flashing light installed at Tuckahoe and Oak Roads plus other improvements being worked on

Atlantic County has installed an additional, double-red flashing light on the Township section of Oak Road where it intersects with Tuckahoe Road in East Vineland.  There have been a number of other improvements implemented recently all of which have been installed in an effort to decrease any potential hazards for motorists.

Due to the alignment of the road, a separate signal installation was required using a pole light for the Township side of Oak Road.  The installation of the additional light will provide a higher level of visibility to oncoming traffic coming from Route 40.

Shoulder restoration is scheduled to be completed by Atlantic County Public Works within the next thirty days along Tuckahoe Road where paving was completed from Cranberry Run to Five Points/Landis Avenue.  Drainage problems are also being addressed.  Additional paving on Tuckahoe Road towards Milmay is planned for 2002.
