BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP - A Vineland man was seriously injured early Saturday
morning when he lost control of his car and it slammed into the yard of a local
resident, State Police said.
John F. Lieske Jr., 27, was driving south on Route 627 (Central Avenue) at about
2:40 a.m., when he failed to stop at the "T" intersection of Oak Road
(Route 681), State Police said. He crossed Oak Road and continued into the front
yard of a residence, causing substantial damage to his vehicle.
Lieske suffered injuries to his legs, face and chest, and was taken by SouthStar
State Police helicopter to Cooper Health System in Camden, police said. He was
listed in critical condition, a hospital spokeswoman said Saturday afternoon.
No charges have been filed, pending further investigation, police said.
