BUENA VISTA TOWNSHIP - A two-car accident at U.S. Route 40 and Atlantic County
Route 540 sent both drivers to hospitals Tuesday, State Police said.
The vehicles collided in the intersection about 11:50 a.m., State Police at the
Buena Vista barracks said.
Driver Roland Dafejmue, age unavailable, of Pleasantville, was taken to the
Atlantic City Medical Center, Mainland Division, in Galloway Township, police
said.
An ACMC nursing supervisor said it appeared he was treated and released.
Driver Michael Muccio, 44, of Richland, was taken to South Jersey
Hospital-Newcomb Medical Center in Vineland. He also was treated and released,
according to a Newcomb spokeswoman.
Dafejmue was cited for failing to observe a traffic light, police said. Muccio
was cited for driving while his operator's license is suspended.
