Buena Vista Gets New State Police Commanders

The New Jersey State Police Barracks in Buena Vista Township recently welcomed two veteran officers to new positions.

Sgt. Larry Brown, 45, of Bridgeton has been named Acting Station Commander.  Sgt. William Zielinski, 45, of Medford is the new Acting Assistant Station Commander.

“Everything’s going very well,” said Brown, who oversees all station activities.  “I’m responsible for anything that transpires.”  Brown has worked with the dispatch unit since 1997.  His first job as a state trooper was more than 22 years ago working out of the Port Norris Barracks.

Zielinksi has been in the field for more than 24 years.  He worked as an administrative sergeant at the Bridgeton Barracks since last November before this promotion.  Before Bridgeton, Zielinski worked at Red Lion Barracks for about 10 years, where he was a patrolman and squad leader.

Both sergeants are enthusiastic about their new responsibilities and we would like to wish them success in their new endeavor.
