Community leaders from Buena Vista Township, Buena Borough and the surrounding areas recently honored Dr. Delmo Mattioli at a testimonial dinner. The event was held on Friday, November 30, 2001 at Merighi’s Savoy Inn in Vineland.
Dr. Mattioli was recognized for his dedication to his family, community and church for the past 50 years. His humbleness has warmed the hearts of many and is most worthy of this recognition. Dr. Mattioli, who is 84 years young, has retired from his practice just a few years ago.
Buena Vista Township Mayor Chuck Chiarello and Deputy Mayor Teresa Kelly attended the event. Mayor Chiarello presented a plaque to Dr. Mattioli in appreciation of his years of dedication to our community and lifetime accomplishments. He also represented County Executive Dennis Levinson in presenting a plaque.
Proceeds from the dinner have been applied toward scholarships for a Buena Regional High School graduate and a St. Augustine Preparatory School graduate who are seeking a Medical Degree in the name of Dr. Delmo Mattioli.
