The Statewide Kindness Awareness Program officially kicked off its 2002 Campaign. Andrea Inverso, the Chief Executive Officer of the program hosted the event.

The ceremony was held on September 28, 2001 at the Kindest School in New Jersey 2001, Zane-North Elementary School in Collingswood, NJ. A few of the honored guests included the mayor of The Kindest Place in New Jersey 2001, Mayor Chuck Chiarello of Buena Vista Township who was joined by Committeewoman Sue Barber.

The Statewide Kindness Awareness Program encourages everyone in their community to participate in "good deeds" or "acts of kindness." The goal of the State program is to promote kindess; therefore, reducing hatred, racism, violence and abuse.
