Nobody was hurt, and all of the animals survived, according to fire officials.
The pens -- used to hold chickens, goats and other livestock -- caught fire about 9:45 a.m., according to Collings Lakes Fire Chief Bill Donnelly.
Firefighters brought the blaze under control in about an hour.
The fire likely was accidental, Donnelly said. It appears to have started in a large metal trash can near the pens. The blaze destroyed a large pile of animal food and about a quarter of an acre of forest, according to the state Forest Fire Service.
The livestock pens were located behind a one-story brick home near the intersection of Sixth Road and 11th Street.
Spotters from a fire tower in Blue Anchor, Winslow Township, called in the blaze.
Companies from Collings Lakes, Newtonville and Folsom responded, Donnelly said.
