BVT Celebrates Constitution Week

 September 17 – 23, 2001

The 214th anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional Convention will be celebrated September 17-23, 2001.  This magnificent document and its memorable anniversary will be officially recognized with patriotic celebrations, which will commemorate the occasion.

Mayor Chuck Chiarello along with the support of the Township Committee passed a local proclamation in support of the efforts.

Constitution Week is a celebration to reaffirm the ideals the Framers of the Constitution had in 1787 by vigilantly protecting the freedoms guaranteed to us through this guardian of our liberties, remembering that lost rights may never be regained.

Public Law 915 guarantees the issuing of a proclamation each year by the President of the United States of America designating September 17 through 23 as Constitution Week.

Proclamations will be on display during Constitution Week at the Main Branch of the Atlantic County Public Library in Mays Landing.  Thank you for supporting our efforts to recognize this document, which is fundamental to the freedom we all enjoy.
