ATTENTION: Buena Vista Township Residents 

Effective May 1, 2011 Buena Vista 9-1-1 Emergency Dispatch Services will no longer be handled by the MidAtlantic Dispatch Center in Egg Harbor.  All calls will now be handled by the Gloucester County Dispatch Center located in Clayton, New Jersey.  Residents will see no change in their emergency dialing procedures.  The change will take place electronically.  If you have any questions regarding dispatching to your property or special concerns you may call 856-589-0911.

In the United States, an Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is an agency at the local, state or national level that holds responsibility of comprehensively planning for and responding to all manner of disasters, whether man-made or natural. An OEM may also be requested to provide consequence management for large special events such as major gatherings, visiting dignitaries et al.

 

Debra Zucal-Bell, Buena Vista Township Emergency Management Coordinator, is a graduate of the Buena Regional School District and resides in Buena Vista Township. Debra has an associate degree in Allied Health Science, a bachelor degree in Healthcare Administration, graduate certificates in Disaster Medicine and Management and Homeland Security and Disaster Preparedness. She is completing her Masters Degree in Disaster Medicine and Management.  She is employed as the State Planner representing the southern region for the New Jersey EMS Task Force through AtlantiCare EMS. Debra is also a paramedic for Underwood EMS and has been involved in emergency medical services (EMS) for over 25 years.  She has completed the Basic Emergency Management Course and the additionally required FEMA courses for Emergency Management Coordinator. Debra is certified to the Firefighter 2, Hazmat Operations, Incident Management System 3, Incident Command System 400, and other emergency management specialty courses.

 

David Bell, Buena Vista Township Emergency Management Deputy Coordinator, is a graduate of the Pittsgrove Township School District and resides in Buena Vista Township. David is completing his associate degree in Fire Sciences. He is employed as a firefighter for the City of Vineland which includes a position as an Emergency Management Deputy Coordinator and as an EMT for the Millville Rescue Squad. David has been involved in fire and emergency medical services (EMS) for over 25 years. He has completed the Basic Emergency Management Course and additional FEMA courses for the Emergency Management Deputy Coordinator. David is certified to Firefighter 2, Certified Firefighter Officer, Firefighter Instructor, HazMat Technician, Rope Rescue Technician, Incident Management System 3, Incident Command System 400, and other emergency management specialty courses.
